New Chairman

We have a new Chairman

After ten years of dedicated service as Chairman of the Llandudno Hospitality Association, Berin Jones has stood down to concentrate on other commitments and I, Simon Bayliss, have been elected by the board of Directors to be the new Chairman.

The board passed the following vote of thanks to Berin:

I would like to propose a vote of thanks to our outgoing Chair, Berin Jones, for 10 years of tireless, selfless and skillful leadership of our Association. It has been educational to work alongside him and I only hope that we can do justice to his legacy by continuing to give Llandudno Hospitality the voice it deserves as a major contributor to the local and Welsh Economy and indeed, a major player in UK Hospitality. I would like to personally thank him for all that he has done so far, and also thank him for his continued support. He is stepping down but not leaving us entirely so we still have the benefit of his experience to help and advise us as we navigate the new and ongoing challenges that face our industry. Let me add to that, the thanks of all of the Directors and the wider membership who have all benefited from his efforts over the years.

I hope that I have your support in leading this Association which is highly regarded in our industry, and plays an important role in collecting and disseminating information on important issues that affect all of us in hospitality. Along with the Board of Directors and other willing members, I will endeavour to give support and advice on new and on-going projects and legislation as well as providing social events where members can meet and exchange views with their colleagues in the industry. Through our website, emails and social media, we will keep in touch to make sure you are “in the know” about what is happening in our industry. It is often difficult and time-consuming to stay up-to-date with changing rules and regulations so we will do our best to help you with this. The Board of Directors are all local hospitality business owners who give their time free of charge to the LHA so please help us to help you by taking part in our activities when you can. We are all concerned about running our own businesses in these difficult times but we need our whole industry to thrive to make our area more attractive and sustainable for the benefit of our own businesses. So remember:
