A proposal for opening up plan

 

We’ve decided to share with the industry our Hotel Re-Opening Plan in the hope that it can help our friends and colleagues across the sector prepare for when restrictions are relaxed. There is no cost and you’ll find the link to the document below. Please feel free to use and distribute it in any way you wish.

 

Covid-19 has caused extraordinary upheaval across our industry but at some time in the near future, hotels will be permitted to re-open. This re-opening will be difficult to manage due to a mix of imposed regulations and, to start with, a serious lack of customers.

 

Here at M&T, we have spent the last few weeks using our team’s experience at our 25 managed hotels to produce the M&T Hotel Re-Opening Plan. There are obviously a lot of moving parts and many operational areas to consider and, as the industry re-opens, it’s clearly going to be a very different place for us all to operate in to satisfy customers, profitably.

No doubt many of the hotels you’re involved with will already be planning and preparing as we have, but even if this plan acts only as a cross-referencing document for managers to check their own thinking against ours and use it to add and adjust their plans accordingly, it should hopefully prove useful to them.
