£2.5 million Welsh Government support for businesses hit by flooding

The Welsh Government is making up to £2.5 million emergency funding
available to support businesses severely impacted by floods caused by
Storms Ciara and Dennis.

Businesses recovering from the devastating effects of the floods,
specifically small to medium sized enterprises, will be able to apply
for a grant of £2,500 to help get them fully functional as quickly as
possible.

The Business Flood Relief fund will be administered by Business Wales
and will support businesses with the immediate costs of recovery not
covered by insurance, and to help meet the cost of renting alternative
space and retaining staff.

The £2.5 million fund is in addition to support the Welsh Government
will provide for local authorities to meet the costs of discretionary
business rates relief due to flooding for up to three months where a
number of business premises are affected in a concentrated location.

the coming days through the Business Wales website.

Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn darparu hyd at £2.5 miliwn o gyllid argyfwng
ar gyfer busnesau sydd wedi dioddef yn ddifrifol yn sgil y llifogydd a
achoswyd gan Storm Ciara a Storm Dennis.

Bydd busnesau sy'n ceisio dod dros effeithiau dinistriol y llifogydd ac
ailddechrau, a busnesau bach a chanolig eu maint yn benodol, yn gallu
gwneud cais am grant o £2,500 i'w helpu i ddod yn gwbl weithredol eto
cyn gynted â phosibl.

Bydd y gronfa’n cael ei gweinyddu gan Busnes Cymru a bydd yn rhoi
cymorth i fusnesau â chostau uniongyrchol adfer eu busnes sydd ddim
wedi'u cynnwys yn eu hyswiriant ac i gyfrannu at y gost o rentu rhywle
arall a chadw staff.

Mae'r gronfa gwerth £2.5 miliwn yn ychwanegol at y cymorth y bydd
Llywodraeth Cymru yn ei ddarparu i awdurdodau lleol i dalu costau
rhyddhad ardrethi busnes dewisol oherwydd y llifogydd am hyd at dri mis
lle mae'r llifogydd wedi effeithio ar sawl eiddo busnes mewn un lleoliad
penodol.
