As of 1st October, the temporary rate of VAT for hospitality rose from 5% to 12.5%, which is due to rise again and return to the rate of 20% in April 2022.

In which to support our members and hospitality businesses we are hosting our ‘VATsENOUGH - UKH campaign for a lower permanent rate of VAT’ webinar. The webinar will discuss our #VATsENOUGH campaign that asks the Government to leave the VAT rate at the current level, which in turn will help the sector and the economy to recover.

During the webinar, our policy team will discuss the details and evidence we have been using during conversations with MPs and at our regular ministerial meetings when we have been pushing hard to make this case.

There may never be a better opportunity for our industry to see a reduced rate made permanent. It is therefore vital that the industry grasps this opportunity and puts it weight behind this campaign. As such, we’ll also be sharing details of how you can get involved and support our campaign by amplifying our message.
